College of Engineering and Computer Science at California State University, Fullerton in collaboration with Geo-Institute Los Angeles Chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers organized the 12th International Symposium on Geo-Disaster Reduction in Fullerton, California, USA on September 5th and 6th, 2014. This series of international symposiums has been an instrumental forum for the advancement of geo-disaster reduction. Geoscientists and engineers from the world have contributed and benefited significantly during these events in the past. The symposium has been another building block to enhance the geotechnical engineering knowledge and to further understand geo-disaster reduction. All geoscientists and engineers working in the field of geo-disasters are kindly participated actively and shared experiences with each other in this symposium.
